Aerial Photos Now Used in UK to Map Heat Loss for Entire TOWNS!
They can map over 79 thousand buildings in some of these surveys. This company basically takes the heat loss photos gathered from airplanes, and overlays it on a map.

This is important because there is a lot of heat loss from roofs and I suspect that even the windows contribute in these aerial photos. The company that took the aerial photo’s also specializes in many other thermal imaging applications, including water under roofing.
